Studio Policies
Thank you so much for supporting me at The Dusty Pink Art Studio! Every piece is designed and created by my own hands in my home studio and I take care to ensure your investment and trust in me is worthwhile.
Because I operate a one-person studio in the margins of a busy life with kids and a full-time career, I have a few additional policies in place to help protect my energy and capacity while ensuring the highest quality for my buyers.
I appreciate your cooperation!
A Note About My Original Artworks
All work featured on this website is original and created under my authorship. A Certificate of Authenticity can be issued upon request. Please Contact Me for more details.
While I do my best to capture a true likeness of the pieces to feature online, an artwork may appear slightly different in person than it does in photos.
All my linocut prints are limited edition series meaning I make a certain number of multiples of any given design. They are hand-pressed on acid-free paper then titled, numbered, and signed in graphite pencil before being stamped with my official hanko. Due to the nature of the printmaking process, no two prints are identical; individual variations in texture, colour, and form are normal and celebrated aspects of this craft. I reserve the right to create new colourways or subsequent series of my linocut designs.
My thread paintings are mixed media watercolour and thread on cotton or raw linen. I use various thread types, weights, and materials as well as varied stitching techniques. Each hoop is dated and initialed in ink. All works are hand-stretched and secured on wooden hoops with finished backs so they are ready to hang or perch on a stand.
Intellectual Property & Copyright
I (Cynthia Mykytyshyn) retain all reproduction and copyright privileges over every artwork created under my authorship. Purchasing a physical piece of art does not transfer reproduction rights to the buyer. My work may not be scanned, resold, printed, or used for commercial marketing purposes without my explicit written contractual consent. Photographs of my work must attribute authorship to me.
Proper Care
I aim to ensure the longevity of my artwork by using high quality materials and techniques and by suggesting best practices for care.
All my textile works are treated with a clear, acid-free protectant to safeguard against fading or discolouration caused by UV damage. However, to further minimize damage from UV exposure, consider displaying the artwork away from direct sunlight.
Linocut prints and original watercolours are also at risk of damage if improperly cared for. Original artwork should never be placed in direct contact with glass in a frame — always use a mat or frame spacer to prevent your artwork from sticking or transferring to the glass and to prevent moisture build up. Avoid placing original artworks in areas of high humidity (like bathrooms) or in direct sunlight (unless protected by UV blocking glass).
The gold standard for artwork protection is framing using UV blocking glass and acid-free materials. Consider reaching out to your local framer for further information!
Shipping & Returns
My online shop is currently configured for Domestic Shipping within Canada ONLY.
International supporters interested in purchasing may use my Contact Form to inquire about international shipping options.
Please specify the piece you are interested in and I will get back to you as soon as possible to discuss shipping costs and invoicing.
International buyers are responsible for any custom duties, taxes, or import fees incurred at their local border.
I currently offer two (2) flat rate domestic shipping options which should be automatically applied at checkout (in case of any error, I will reach out to you and manually adjust):
$4 standard - this applies to any linocut or watercolour prints that can fit in a standard rigid mailer. Please note this does not include tracking or insurance.
$22 tracked parcel - this applies to any thread painting work. Due to the high relief and fragility of these works, I offer only the tracked parcel option to ensure your work arrives safely.
All items will ship within 5 business days of receiving your order. If there are any delays for any reason, I will reach out to you directly to provide an estimated shipping date.
I package all artworks myself using reasonable precautions available to me to ensure they leave my studio in excellent condition. However, once an artwork leaves my care, I am not responsible for any damage caused by abuse or neglect.
Tracked parcels: in the rare case where a tracked parcel arrives damaged, please take clear photos of the exterior packaging and the damaged artwork immediately. Email the photos to me at dustypinkartstudio@gmail.com within 24 hours of delivery to initiate an insurance claim.
All sales are final. As an independent artisan, I am unable to offer automated refunds or order cancellations. However, your support means a lot to me. If you are unhappy with your purchase for any reason, please Contact Me within 7 days of delivery to discuss whether there is anything I can reasonably do to make it right. Thank you for your understanding.
